VASCONCELLOS SCOOPS DOUBLE-GOLD FOR BRAZIL

Brazil's Sarah Vasconcellos clinched her second gold medal of the Championships when taking the Individual title on the final day of the FEI Children's International Classics Final in Hong Kong today. Silver went to the host nation's Arianna Ladd, while South Africa's Cameron Dawson was the well-deserved recipient of the bronze. MAHER PRODUCES THE X-FACTOR AT OLYMPIA

MIRANDA TURNS ON THE MAGIC IN GENEVA

Brazil's Alvaro de Miranda claimed maximum points and set himself on the road to the series Final with a breath-taking victory riding AD Ashleigh Drossel Dan in the sixth leg of the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping Western European League at Geneva, Switzerland this afternoon. With 16 of the world's best horses and riders through to the closing stages, the second-round race against the clock was a thriller in which the lead changed again and again. But with the advantage of being last to go, and with a superb round sprinkled with a little luck, the 38 year old rider and his 13 year old gelding scorched home to clinch it in style. KITTEL WINS OUT IN SUPER-TIGHT BATTLE IN STOCKHOLM

Patrik Kittel headed up a Swedish one-two in the third leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2011/2012 series in Stockholm, Sweden today. SALZGEBER DOES THE DOUBLE IN LYON

German riders dominated the line-up in Lyon, France today where Ulla Salzgeber and Herzruf’s Erbe won the second leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 201l/2012 series ahead of two other former series double-champions. Salzgeber, who recorded back-to-back victories with the great Rusty in 2001 and 2002, pipped fellow-countrywoman Isabell Werth and the horse with which the latter recorded the second of her two successes in 2005 - Warum Nicht - while Monica Theodorescu, champion in 1992 and 1993, steered Whisper into third place. MINDERHOUD WINS REEM ACRA OPENING ROUND IN ODENSE

Dutch rider, Hans Peter Minderhoud, was in reflective mood after winning the opening leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage series in Odense, Denmark this afternoon with the 11 year old chestnut stallion, IPS Tango. He has his sights firmly set on a place at the series final in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands next April along with a spot at the London Olympic Games, but he knows he has a lot of work to do to get there. Switzerland's Pius Schwizer swept to victory in the opening leg of the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping 2011/2012 series at Oslo in Norway today with a thrilling last-to-go run from Carlina. RED-HOT OPENING ROUND TO ROLEX FEI WORLD CUP™ JUMPING SEASON

FREESTYLE GOLD MEDALS BRING BRITISH HAUL TO A MAGNIFICENT EIGHT

With the Team and three Individual titles already under their belt, the British brought their gold medal haul to a magnificent eight when adding victory in Freestyle Grades Ia, II, III and IV to their tally on the final afternoon of the FEI European Para-Equestrian Dressage Championships 2011 at Moorsele in Belgium yesterday. Only Denmark's Stinna Kaastrup prevented them from making it a complete whitewash in the closing stages of the event that produced fantastic competition and presented many new stars of the future. BRITISH CLINCH HISTORIC TEAM VICTORY

Britain claimed team gold for the first time in the 25-year history of the FEI European Dressage Championships when Carl Hester and the fabulous stallion, Uthopia, produced a dream performance at the Kralingsbos stadium in Rotterdam, The Netherlands today. With his country already in front at the halfway stage following yesterday's good results from first-line rider Emile Faurie and Elmegardens Marquis and the new British star partnership of Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, 44-year-old Hester racked up a score of 82.568 which left him with the leading individual mark of the competition and took the pressure off anchor Laura Bechtolsheimer with Mistral Hojris.  »

IT'S A SILVER ANNIVERSARY FOR FEI EUROPEAN DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS, BUT WHO WILL TAKE THE GOLD?

The FEI European Dressage Championships 2011 will celebrate 25 years of spectacular sport as the action gets underway at the Kralingse Bos arena in Rotterdam (NED) next Wednesday morning. The world of Dressage has undergone significant change since Switzerland's Henri Chammartin and Wolfdietrich won the first Individual title in Copenhagen (DEN) IN 1963, and while only 16 riders from eight nations lined out in that inaugural fixture, participation is at an all-time high this time around with 66 competitors from 21 nations and a total of 16 teams vying for the coveted medals.  »

CORNELISSEN CRUISES TO VICTORY IN REEM ACRA FEI WORLD CUP™ DRESSAGE GRAND PRIX

The Netherlands' Adelinde Cornelissen moved ever-closer to taking the 2010/2011 title tonight when recording a convincing victory in the Grand Prix with Jerich Parzival at the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage final in Leipzig, Germany. Hotly-tipped to scoop the honours following a spectacular indoor season, the Dutch rider and her powerful chestnut gelding produced a confident performance that put a score of 80.957 on the scoreboard. CORNELISSEN AND PARZIVAL SCOOP THEIR FIFTH VICTORY AT 'S-HERTOGENBOSCH

SALZGEBER SWEEPS TO VICTORY IN NEUMUNSTER AS GERMAN RIDERS DOMINATE ONCE AGAIN

Ulla Salzgeber and Herzuf's Erbe swept to their second victory in the Western European League of the 2010/2011 Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage series in Neumunster, Germany today where fellow-Germans Isabell Werth and Helen Langehanenberg slotted into second and third places. Salzgeber has been in formidable form all season, placing herself in a prominent position on the leaderboard when winning the Central European League qualifier at Kaposvar in Hungary last October before coming out to win again at Frankfurt, Germany in December. And the 52 year old rider did it in style once more today, getting the edge over Werth with a performance that oozed professionalism, confidence, control and harmony and which restored her to pole position on the league table ahead of the final two qualifying rounds.  »

KUERTEN KEEPS THE BELGIANS AT BAY ON THEIR HOME TURF AT MECHELEN

Ireland's Jessica Kuerten fended off a powerful challenge from the host nation contingent to scoop maximum points in the eighth leg of the 2010/2011 Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping series at Mechelen in Belgium this afternoon. From a starting field of 38 only four went into the second-round jump-off, and the 41 year old German-based rider snatched victory when second-last to go against the clock riding Lady Georgina Forbes' Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois. It was a very special win, and I feel quite emotional" Kuerten said afterwards. "We really wanted to win, we were unbelievably motivated and we had to go very fast to beat Gregory Wathalet. Winning this and the Queen's Cup on Tuesday has made it a fairytale week!" she added. Belgium's Wathalet took runner-up spot with Sea Coast Cortes C while his fellow-countrymen Jos Lansink (Casper Van Spieveld) and Niels Bruynseels (NASA) filled third and fourth places respectively as the home riders put on a great show in front of their own crowd in the packed Nekkerhal Arena.
